Well, there’s a lesson to be learned here! The lesson being don’t leave your child unattended with your iPad.
It seems that 7 year old Faisall Shugaa memorized his Dad’s Apple ID and password – and used it to buy Dino Bucks – which are an in-game currency of Jurassic World. The only problem is that those Dino Bucks cost real money. The 7 year old ran up a tab of $5000 bucks in just 6 days – all in an attempt to upgrade the dinosaurs in the video game he was playing.
The good news is that even though Faisall’s Dad was originally told that he would not be getting a refund of the 5 grand, he did end up getting his money back.
Apple has repeated their warning – parents should not share their password with anyone.
