The Simcoe County Alliance to End Homelessness is embarking on an extensive survey to find out how widespread homelessness is locally.
Its called the 20 thousand homes survey.
Spokesperson Lynn Strachan once they know the numbers they can work on the action plan.
She says this should identify numbers and also any gaps of what is currently offered.
There are varying degrees of homelessness also from being on the street to couch surfing at friends to having inadequate or unsafe accomodation.
The actual survey will be done January 15th and 16th throughout Simcoe County.
There will be representatives at all YMCA’s in the county those days as well as at drop in centres and food banks.
