Big graffiti spring cleanup coming to Orillia.
Letters are being mailed out this week to all property owners in Orillia who have had graffiti on their properties over the last 6 months.
Manager of Legislative Services, Shawn Crawford says council is getting proactive on graffiti removal.
Property owners will have to get the graffiti removed quickly when warm weather returns.
Getting the tagging removed quickly may discourage some graffiti artists who do it to enjoy long term recognition.
The main reason is just to make the city look better.
Crawford says community groups are likely to work with property owners on the clean up.
The proactive approach officially begins April 15th when fines could be levied.
