Goodwill workers are calling for the resignation of the charity’s CEO.
A number of now displaced workers held a news conference in Toronto today saying they want their jobs back and they want to be paid for the work they’ve already done.
16 stores across Ontario , including those in Barrie and Orillia , closed unexpectedly on Sunday throwing over 400 employees out of work.
The company cited a cash flow problem for the abrupt closures and said, earlier this week, they will be closed until further notice.
Displaced Goodwill Store workers are not being paid on Friday.
The CEO now says Goodwill be in a position to updates employees about future payroll deposits and records of employment by this coming Monday.
