The uniformed and civilian employees of the Midland Police Service have a new contract.
Under the settlement, a First Class Constable’s salary will go to $94, 303 by the end of 2017.
That’s a total increase of 7.2 percent by the end of the third year.
Civilian employees see a 5.6 percent hike at the end of the third year.
Police Services Board Chair, George Dixon says the Association made some real concessions in bargaining.
Both sides believe the settlement is in line with pay scales at comparable police services.
