What are your priorities?
That’s what the Ontario Provincial Police are asking about getting grievance calls from a lot of people, last night, when the Downtown Abbey finale was interrupted by an Amber Alert.
There were a number of people who called in to protest the fact the Amber Alert about a missing Orillia boy cut into their Sunday night tv programs.
Some complained the alert was too long and sent out too often.
Inspector Patrick Morris says officers were disappointed by that reaction and he’s not apologizing for using all tools to find a missing child.
Morris says many people did call in with leads and there was a happy ending with a child located safe.
Morris says this was the first time the Ontario Amber Alert was used in the Orillia area.
Since its inception, its only been used 33 times.
