The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is in the midst of a study on what changes are needed to Ontario’ s health care system.
CEO Rod Jackson says the cuts are already being seen locally with 32 active jobs cut from Barrie’s RVH budget and 24 other job slots not being filled.
He says cutbacks in health care are not what is needed in a growing and aging population as we have in Barrie and Simcoe County.
The study will look at how the private sector and non profit agencies could be involved.
The study in called “Transformation through Value and Innovation” and is being done across Ontario by Chambers of Commerce.
