Barrie Police are looking for witnesses to an alleged domestic assault.
Calls came in around 5:30 yesterday afternoon about a man and woman involved in some kind of dispute – while travelling along Anne Street in their minivan.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle – it ended up crashing into a pole at the corner of Henry and Eccles.
The driver tried to get away on foot, but the officers got him – he’s facing charges of domestic assault, forcible confinement, dangerous driving, flight from police, and breach of probation.
The passengers of the vehicle – a 29 year old woman and her one year old daughter – were taken to RVH as a precaution, and they have since been released.
