It was a nightmare scenario — but it ended well.
A three-month-old baby who was in the back seat of a car that was stolen Sunday afternoon in Toronto’s north end was found safe and sound about four agonizing hours later.
An Amber Alert was issued and police say a tip led them to the vehicle – and the baby – in a parking lot in the city’s northwest.
The infant was unharmed and was quickly reunited with his family.
Police, however, are still looking for the car thief — described as a white male with blond hair, about 40-years old, five-foot-11 with a medium build.
