Toronto police are warning drivers to be prepared for slow-moving traffic in the city today due to a protest by tow truck drivers.
Police say the “day of awareness” will disrupt traffic into and out of the city during both the morning and afternoon rush hours.
Participants will travel to the city from several mustering points in the Greater Toronto Area, then use the Don Valley Parkway and the Gardiner Expressway to make their way to Queen’s Park.
Police say the tow truck operators are then expected to encircle Queen’s Park with their vehicles, then stage a rally on the south lawn of the legislature from about 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Parking will be restricted on some streets in the area.
