Wednesday is National Canadian Film Day.
There are 350 national events being held all to celebrate Canadian cinema.
Reel Canada’s Jack Blum says Canadian movies used to be a bit of a joke but not anymore.
Often the movies don’t get seen because no one can compete with the Hollywood publicity machine but once people
know where to see a Canadian film, they usually do.
Among the communities offering special screenings tomorrow Barrie, Innisfil, Penetanguishene and Wasaga Beach.
Most are free.
There are showings at theatres, museums, retirement homes and libraries.
