If you’re looking for volunteer hours or you just want to lend a hand, the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority need your help this month.
They are looking to plant and mulch thousands of young native trees across the Nottawasaga Valley watershed.
The tree plants are part of a larger program to create stream habitat and improve water quality in the watershed.
Volunteers are needed for tree planting events throughout May, including plants in Everett and Collingwood on May 7, Innisfil on May 8, Angus and Everett on May 14, and Bradford West Gwillimbury on May 28.
Planting events are also scheduled for May 16, 26 and 28 in the Minesing Wetlands.
The group is looking to plant about 200,000 trees this year.
