Medical Marijuana coming to a grocery and pharmacy store near you?
That’s what President of Loblaw’s Galen Weston says should happen.
Weston says their is a critical role for drugstores to play in selling medical marijuana.
The head of Canada’s largest pharmacy chain believes that patients would benefit more from getting their medical supply from a pharmacist instead of through the mail as some do now.
He also says he would be open to having medical marijuana available at all Shoppers Drug Mart and grocery locations if allowed by the federal government.
Currently under Health Canada rules, patients can only buy from licensed producers and are not allowed to grow their own.
