When I think back to last summer and the one before that, I can honestly say that my favourite memories were spontaneous ones. Don’t tell my husband, he’s always saying I plan way too much. One of the best times as a family was heading out on the boat. Out to the open water with no real destination in mind. My husband suddenly stopped the boat, turned off the engine, ran and jumped off the back into the water!! I paused. But man that sure looked like fun so I jumped in right behind him. The kids were excited and laughing. (In life jackets of course!) They ran and laughed and jumped in after us. And there it was, a perfect summer moment that was not planned, and not paid for. And we still talk about it to this day.
There are a million things you could plan andpay for this summer. Or you could just live it. Let’s face it, we’re busy enough all school year long. This Spring between the kids and I, we have things every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights. Once the end of June comes I will be sooooo ready to be off of a regular schedule!
I’m just in love with this blog…and I hope you like it too.
