3 different food products are being recalled due to possible Listeria contamination.
Neilson brand is recalling it’s chocolate milk due to Listeria concerns.
Dairy company Saputo Inc. is recalling its four litre bags of partly skimmed chocolate milk with a best before date of June 1st 2016.
Also, certain Kashi trail mix bars are being recalled.
The Kashi Trail Mix Whole Grain Bars, were sold in packs of six with best before dates between January and February 2017, and Kashi Whole Grain Bars sold in packs of 18 with best before dates between September and November 2016.
The Canadian Food Inspection agency says the products were sold nationally and should not be eaten.
Certain President’s Choice brand and Basse brand products containing sunflower seeds are also being recalled.
Presidents Choice brand Mountain Trail Mix, Roasted Sunflower Seeds Salted and Roasted Sunflower Seeds Unsalted, and Basse brand Unsalted Sunflower Seed Kernels, Unsalted Sunflower Seed, Hicking Trail Mix and Basse Alive Salad Topper mix with dried cranberries, sunflower seed kernels and walnuts are all part of the recall.
Establishments that may sell these products including hotels, restaurants, hospitals and nursing homes are being asked not to sell or use the products.
Listeria illness can cause vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headaches and neck stiffness.
