Good news about the commute for Barrie train passengers.
Starting June 27th, all southbound trips from Allandale Waterfront Go will now leave 5 minutes later but still get to Union Station at the same time as it does now.
That’s thanks to signal upgrades.
Northbound trains to Allandale Waterfront GO will also see faster travel as they will now depart Union at the same time but arrive at some stops up to five minutes earlier.
The 7:13 a.m. train from Maple will also see a small change. It will now depart at 7:15 a.m. but still arrive into Union at 7:47 a.m.
Go will also be offering Barrie summer weekend trains again from June 25th, to September 5th.
Trains will leave Union Station at 12:20, 4:20, 6:20 and 10:20 p.m. making all stops up to Allandale Waterfront GO and trains traveling southbound to Union will leave Allandale Waterfront GO at 9:40 a.m., 2:10, 3:51 and 8:10 p.m. every Saturday, Sunday and Holiday.
