Emergency service workers in Barrie are answering the call to help save more lives as part of this summer’s Sirens for Life campaign.
Canadian Blood Services is asking local residents to also lend their arm by donating blood in support of their local emergency services teams.
One accident victim badly hurt in a cash could need as many as 50 blood donations.
In Central Ontario, the goal for this year’s Siren’s campaign is 1,200 units of blood.
There is also a goal to recruit 100 new donors.
The emergency workers will be at the permanent clinic on Bayview Drive at 6 p.m. Tuesday to roll up their sleeves.
