For some, playing Grand Theft Auto can get really addictive and pretty realistic. An 11-year-old boy was caught driving his parent’s car over the weekend, and has admitted he wanted to see what driving a real vehicle would be like after playing Grand Theft Auto. OPP say that police received several calls for a vehicle which was driving erratically on the 400 between Major Mackenzie and King Road, on Saturday night, just before midnight.
Police pursued the vehicle but the driver refused to pull over. Instead the boy was travelling at half the speed limit before accelerating to well over the limit around 120 km/hr. Police eventually managed to pull the vehicle over without incident. Now one was injured and the boy was returned to his parents custody. No charges will be laid, but the police are leaving it up to his parents to figure out a punishment.
