On May 1 last year, Joe Roberts – who was a former street youth turned successful entrepreneur,- began his “push for change” campaign, pushing a shopping cart 9,000 km across Canada as a national awareness and youth empowerment campaign, focusing on youth homelessness.
On Monday, at 11:30 a.m. students from St. Theresa’s Catholic High School and Georgian Bay District Secondary School will meet Joe Roberts at the North Simcoe Recreation Centre (NSRC) in Midland, Ont. The students will walk along with Joe from the NSRC at 527 Len Self Blvd, to St. Theresa’s School at 347 Galloway Blvd, Midland.
After arriving at the school, Joe will deliver a presentation to the staff and students about youth homelessness and his real life experiences as a struggling homeless youth in Vancouver.
