I think I just found the best study ever!! Apparently hitting the gym 7 days a week is not something you really have to do (not that I was doing that anyways). According to a new study out of Loughborough University in England, researchers say you only need to work out TWO DAYS A WEEK to get all those great health benefits.
They found out you need to do 75 minutes of hard exercise or 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week. So you can become a “weekend warrior” and just workout hard on the weekend and still lower your risk of heart disease, cancer and dying young.
Obviously if your goal is to look like the very sculpted Zac Efron who has like 2% body fat then you’ll have to hit the gym a lot more but for those of us who just want to still fit in our jeans and be somewhat healthy, 2 days a week should do!
