About 320 workers at the Molson Coors facility in Etobicoke are now on strike.
Since New Year’s Eve, they have been without a contract and the union says Molson Coors wants a 7% per cent reduction in wages, pensions and benefits.
But the union isn’t agreeing to that.
They have been negotiating since October.
You may be asking, “What’s happening with the beer?”
The union says there is no danger of a beer shortage in the short term. They’ve been storing beer off-site at 2 different warehouses in case of a work stoppage.
It’s a whole different story is this strike goes on long term.
Brands affected include Canadian, Coors Light, Rickard’s and 21 other brands.
