Since it’s a new year and many resolutions every year are to quit smoking, we’ve got PART 2 of this new video podcast by helping you “butt out”.
Here’s RVH Respiratory Therapist, Ginny Myles with helpful tips to quit plus WHY it’s important that you quit:
Most people successfully quit smoking when they use some sort of nicotine replacement therapy. This could involve a nicotine patch, using nicotine lozenges or gum. What these do, is decreases the amount of nicotine going into your body and weans your body off of smoking.
It is best to avoid situations that make you feel like you need a cigarette.
Be kind to yourself and remember sometimes it takes multiple times before you are successful.
DON’T GIVE UP! – it’s the best thing you can do your health.
