Actor and trained pilot Han Solo… (sorry) Harrison Ford was involved in a scary incident at a California Airport on Monday.
Ford was directed to land on runway 20-L at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California, but mistakenly aimed for a taxiway, instead. His plane passed over the top of an American Airlines 737 carrying 110 passengers and a six-person crew.
This is not the first time the 74 year old Ford has been involved in an incident involving his planes. Most recently in 2015, he crash landed a World War II era plane on a golf course in Santa Monica after the engine failed.
It’s not as if he doesn’t know what he is doing either. He was inducted as a Living Legend of Aviation by the Kiddie Hawk Air Academy.
An FAA investigation is under way, which could see Ford receive a simple warning letter or possibly a suspension of his pilot’s license.
Normally the odds of surviving multiple crashes or near crashes is pretty low.
