Great news! There’s going to be a Love Actually sequel with some of the original cast!
It’s going to be a 10 minute short movie called Red Nose Day Actually and it’s for Comic Relief which is a British charity. Hugh Grant, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Liam Neeson, Colin Firth and Andrew Lincoln are all coming back!!
According to Digital Spy, “Lucia Moniz (Aurelia), Thomas Brodie-Sangster (Sam), Olivia Olson (Joanna), Bill Nighy (Billy), Marcus Brigstocke (Mikey), and Rowan Atkinson (Rufus) have all signed up to reprise their roles as well.”
Richard Curtis was the original director and writer for Love Actually and he came back to write Red Nose Actually which will ‘revisit all the much-loved characters in the present day, 14 YEARS after the events of the 2003 movie.’
Curtis said, “It seemed like a fun idea this year to do a special sketch based on one of my films, since Red Nose Day (a special day to come together, have fun and make a difference for kids) is now in both the UK and America. I would never have dreamt of writing a sequel to Love Actually, but I thought it might be fun to do ten minutes to see what everyone is now up to.”
Curtis also said,”it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later.”
Red Nose Actually is set to premiere on NBC on May 25.
