Helicopter footage (shown below) has been released by York Regional Police who allegedly caught three teens trying to steal candy from Canada’s Wonderland over the weekend.
Police used dogs, a helicopter and thermal imaging to catch the thieves who tried to steal some treats from Canada’s Wonderland on Saturday. In a news release, York regional police said,“Police were called by Canada’s Wonderland security, who had spotted three people (two 16 year-olds and one 15-year-old) within the closed park. The males were seen dressed in dark clothing, with their faces covered, entering one of the stores on the property and stealing candy.”
The police helicopter “Air2” and the canine unit were already out on patrol when the call about the stealing teens came in.
All three teens were from Vaughan and they were “co-operative with police and were remorseful for their actions.” All three teens were released to the custody of their parents.
