Police continued their search north of Highway 11 for 72-year-old Mandy Thompson.
At the time of Mandy’s disappearance she had the ability to travel a significant distance in a short period of time. Police are requesting that anyone living in the areas previously searched and north of Highway 11 to thoroughly check their properties including barns, sheds, vehicles, garages and any receptacles on their properties.
Mandy went missing from her Barrie home on Friday, February 3 just before 7:30 a.m. The search expanded into Oro-Medonte Township after she was captured on video surveillance walking northbound on Penetanguishene Road at 10:00 a.m. the day she was reported missing.
Extensive searches were conducted throughout the month of February. In March search teams conducted a second search over a two-day period during a brief mild spell.
