Late Sunday night a 39 year old Barrie man spent a few hours in jail after being arrested for public intoxication.
Once released he stopped at a north end sports bar. He tried to sneak out without paying but was stopped by staff. He offered to leave his intoxication ticket and court summons as proof he would be back to pay.
He also was at a restaurant downtown where he also attempted to leave without paying for his drinks.
Police found him at the Maple Avenue bus terminal and was brought back to the station for more charges.
