Georgian College originally took control of The Kempenfelt Conference Center from the province back in 1981. The college will cease operations of the center in the fall, and then the province of Ontario will take over the control.
Officials announced a plan to sell the center in Innisfil back in February because it was a drain on the college’s budget.
All existing bookings are still a go, and new bookings are still being accepted.
At this time, the province says they can’t comment on their plans for the site yet.
