OPP say speeding is the No. 1 cause of road fatalities on roads in Ontario so far this year.
It’s been linked to 30 road deaths, compared to 17 at the same time last year.
More than 1,400 charges have been laid so far this year against drivers clocked at 50 km/h or more.
Police will set their sights on speeding and aggressive driving during the Canada Day long weekend.
