OPP have officially released the name of one of the three victims of last week’s fiery pileup on Highway 400 between 88 and 89.
37-year-old Benjamin Dunn of North Bay was driving one of the two fuel tankers involved which set off a massive fireball and sent motorists running for their lives.
Dunn’s wife said her husband was a veteran truck driver who worked three jobs to provide for their nine children.
The intensity of the fire has made it difficult for the coroner’s office to officially identify those who died in the crash, but investigators hope to confirm the identity of the second victim this week. It will take more time to identify the third.
