It’s so cold in Florida that iguanas are FREEZING and FALLING from trees.
Temperatures dropped down to 5 degree Celsius on Thursday in some parts of South Florida and I know that doesn’t sound cold since we’re being hit with lows of -30 here in Barrie but for Florida, that’s pretty darn cold.
5 degrees is cold enough to freeze iguanas and make them immobile. When temperatures fall below 10 degrees they start to get sluggish but they’re NOT dead. They can come back to life again when the weather warms up.
Residents are advised to not touch the frozen iguanas “as they may feel threatened and bite once they warm up.”
