The Weeknd has decided to stop working with H&M after they published an offensive photo on their website.
He tweeted, “woke up this morning shocked and embarrassed by this photo. i’m deeply offended and will not be working with @hm anymore….”
The Weeknd starred in the H&M and XO campaign last year in March and they’ve been working together ever since.
The offensive photo from the clothing brand showed a black boy wearing a green hoodie with the words, ‘coolest monkey in the jungle’ on it.
H&M UK has issued an apology saying, “We sincerely apologize for offending people with this image of a printed hooded top. This image has been removed from all online channels and the product will not be for sale in the United States.”
